Miss M's Hype Girl Boudoir Experience

Occasionally, we run contests and giveaways- especially for our Business Birthday!

(POP QUIZ- anybody know when that is?! We go off of the month, not the specific day if that helps!)

This past birthday, we gave away some product credit and a FREE boudoir experience. We’ll usually run the contest for a few days, and have different games and tasks you can do to win points! It’s always so much fun, and Miss M was our winner this year!

Read on to learn more about this beautiful soul, and her Hype Girl Boudoir experience.

What made you decide to do a boudoir session?

I was the lucky (maybe the luckiest ) recipient of a free session from being active in the hype girl facebook, instagram, and tiktoks. :)

What made you decide to hire me as your photographer?

I’ve followed Tiffany for years now, and have always been in awe in her abilities and fluid personality in this career . She is one of  the most honest people, and it's refreshing because she is even honest about mental health. For years I've struggled with being diagnosed bipolar at a very young age, and sometimes the highs are high and the lows are pretty darn low. And knowing that the space I am opening myself up to is just as human as I am made it all the more comfortable.

How did you feel about the consultation?

It was like talking to my best friend!! Because I live a bit outside of Jacksonville, we did a video chat. She dealt with my children coming and going, and we laughed and we shared. I showed her the parts of me that I really didn't like and instead of saying "oh girl you’ve got nothing to worry about!" or dismissing my own insecurities, she noted it all down and said she would make sure they weren't insecurities by the time we were done!

How were you feeling the week leading up to your session?

Unfortunately life got in the way for my session and my first appointment we had to reschedule, Tiffany's son was sick and my oldest daughter was going through something that required i be there with her. So when my 2nd appointment came around I was in full butterfly mode.

Now that you've had your own photo shoot, how was it?

FRICKEN AMAZEBALLS!! The make up and hair ladies were sweet as pie and even though I was the new girl in the room, I was included in their chatter and I felt welcomed as we all caught up on our weeks and husbands and children. I wish I hadn't waited so long.

How did you feel about having your hair and makeup done?

These ladies were amazing . I am not a girly girl, I do very little make up and usually just push my hair back. They dealt with my shrugs and “I don't know”s like a champ. We kept the make up light and they let my freckles show through! I appreciate their ability to keep it simple since I am indeed a simple woman.

Is there anything I could do that would make this experience completely perfect?

I wouldn't change anything. It was absolutely a treasure to be in Tiffany's company and studio.

Any other thoughts or suggestions you'd like to tell me about?

Just that you are an amazing person and spirit and so giving. You give us more than just a beautiful experience- you gave me confidence,  love, and a memory that will never be lost.

What was going through your head seeing your images for the first time?

I laughed and said “that's NOT meeeeee!”. There is no way!! 3 children. Multiple surgeries. Weight loss. I was in complete shock and taken back that I looked so pretty.

“Do it. If you've ever considered it, do it . If you've ever thought you couldn't, do it. If you every thought "I wish I could do that" do it! It'll be your biggest regret to have the “what if”. I am 37yrs old, married twice, three children, a career. Multiple surgeries from poor health, even worse mental health, and I'm my biggest critic. Always trying to improve, to be better, to be different. This year I've lost 80lbs on my own, and even from the consultation to the photo shoot the clothes I chose were too big but we made it work. All the scars both mental and physical fell off when we went through the photos and I saw the beautiful images in front of me. I will forever treasure this moment.” -Miss M

Miss M is a literal warrior- she has survived so much and can still smile and brighten the entire room. When she agreed to share her story and talk about her experience, I cannot tell you how happy it made me! I definitely did a happy dance, that’s for sure. XD

To everyone who has shared your story and boudoir experience with us- thank you. It’s one thing for me to talk about boudoir, but there’s something special about hearing a real experience from someone who’s done the damn thing! I literally had someone the other day say “I saw a blog with a body type similar to mine, and THAT is what gave me the courage to try this” and it just reminded me of how special this all is!
